THACCA Member Services
The association offers to its membership varied services designed to accomplish the purpose of THACCA. These services change as the needs of THACCA change and currently include:
- Apprentice Training
THACCA has an approved apprenticeship training program, which includes both class hours and on-the-job work hours. The program is overseen by the THACCA Board of Trustees.
- Business Meetings
Except for the months of June, July, August and December, dinner meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the third Wednesday of every month, and are conducted pursuant to Robert's Rules of Order.
- Public Relations
As a public service, THACCA takes a lead in disseminating valuable information to the public concerning the heating and air conditioning industry.
- Continuing Education
Each year the association develops various classes and seminars related to the industry. Some classes are approved for CEU credits. Other classes are designed to help technicians become more skillful in their trade. Classes are open to both THACCA and non-THACCA members, with THACCA members receiving a discount on course fees.
Political Advocacy
THACCA has a long history of political advocacy in Northwest Ohio and its views are sought out by local and state elected officials. THACCA provides input to governmental jurisdictions when they are considering legislation or regulations which will impact on the HVAC industry. The THACCA Political Action Committee is the vehicle by which members can contribute to public officials whose actions affect the industry.
THACCA is well known for its Chili Luncheon, an event that brings members and our state delegation together to discuss current and upcoming legislation. It is an event everyone looks forward to every year.
